How to Look More Put Together

Hey guys! So today I’m sharing 8 tips I feel make anyone look put together! These tips are perfect for if your running late or feel your outfit is boring! Leave me comment down below telling me which tip was the most helpful or which one you’re going to try next! Find more outfit posts on my Instagram @ashtonleighblog

1. Tuck in oversized shirts and shirts in general

When one tucks in a nice t-shirt or an oversized sweater into jeans it adds that extra touch that make you look more put together. It also looks nicer in general. This tip is great with skirts and jeans! If you don’t want to tuck your shirt in all the way, just tuck it in from the front. This will add a casual touch.

2. Add accessories

Adding accessories to any outfit makes you look more put together. No matter weather the outfit is casual or it’s a dressy option jewelry is also good. Layering is also a great option with jewelry because it looks really pretty and adds a great touch to a basic shirt

3. Spend more time on hair or makeup

When running low on time just working on either your hair or your makeup can make you look more put together! I suggest doing a really natural pretty makeup look in about 7 minutes then either straighten or curl your hair. My curling wand that I use only takes my ten minutes to curl! If you want to see how I curl my hair check out my Curling Hair Routine! My wand is also listed there!

4. Black jeans instead of leggings

I know we always want to be comfy, all the time! Instead try changing out your leggings for black jeans. When wearing a basic shirt or sweater jeans always make the outfit more put together. It also makes it look like you really thought out your outfit! A great option is to wear jeggings or really soft jeans to get a similar feel to leggings!

5. For ponytail create a messy parted one

When you have absolutely no time to do your hair, or are just lazy, a good go to is a ponytail. Start by using dry shampoo or texturizing spray to add texture in your hair. Then leave your part in and create a messy pony! Tie the ponytail tighte but then loosen the front and mess it up to create a more relaxed look!

6. Wear the right undergarments

When you have a bra strap sticking out it’s not cute. Or when you have underwear lines. Make sure that you purchase the needed undergarments to look sleek and professional. A good option is getting bralettes! They look really cute and if they show no big deal! This will also make you feel more confident as well!

7. Roll your sleeves

When your wearing a sweater, flannel, or blouse try rolling your sleeves a couple times. It ads an affect on your outfit that makes it look more relaxed. This trick also helps a look to not lol to stiff or boring. Rolling your sleeves can give that added simple detail an outfit needs!

8. Have one main focus point

If you ever feel you have nothing to wear, create an outfit of nuetrals based off a bold item. This helps by just having basics in a closet but added a simple pop of color or detail makes the outfit look unique! Having a main focus point will also make you stand out and will make people have something to look at. Just by adding one piece of clothing or detail can make an outfit!
